LG are the developers and manufacturers of a robust, mature and efficient iris recognition based access control system. Building on a camera and system design heritage that goes back further than most in the iris recognition world, LG offer the user a system that can either stand on its own as a security system, or which can be integrated into existing building management systems or alarm and fire systems. The first system delivered by Argus in 2001 continues to function without failure or mishap.

Argus Solutions has developed specific adaptors to allow the ready integration of the LG cameras into specific security systems, and in the field has delivered the LG solution by integrating it into existing systems such as those offered by Honeywell and Chubb.

In addition to providing unmatched accuracy of identification, the LGIris product set virtually eliminates the ongoing costs associated with most traditional access systems. The iris is non-transferable, and cannot be lost, stolen or duplicated like prox cards or access codes. Gartner estimates that the administration of such systems costs organizations $100's per user per year.
